You can browse, search, filter, and visit all 1,000+ AI tools on Altinode AI completely free without creating an account. We only collect personal information when you voluntarily choose to sign up, subscribe to our newsletter, or submit an AI tool:

• Account & Profile Information: When you register or log in via Google Sign-In or Email/Password (powered by Google Firebase Authentication), we store your email address, display name, unique user ID (UID), and profile picture URL.
• Profile Picture Uploads: If you upload a custom profile avatar in your AI Hub Dashboard, the image is securely hosted via Cloudinary and linked to your profile.
• User Activity & Gamification Data: When logged in, we save your bookmarked tools and the 1-to-5 star ratings you give to tools in Cloud Firestore so your collection syncs across devices and unlocks profile badges.
• Newsletter Subscriptions: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and subscription timestamp in our database solely to send you AI tool updates.
• Tool Submissions: When developers or users submit an AI tool via our Submit Tool page, we collect the tool's name, URL, category, pricing model, and description for editorial review.

We use the information we collect strictly to operate, maintain, and improve your experience on Altinode AI:

• To personalize your welcome screen, profile dashboard, collector level (Novice, Explorer, Collector, Grandmaster), and achievement badges.
• To sync your bookmarked AI tools and star reviews across your phone, tablet, and desktop.
• To calculate accurate, community-driven star ratings and save counts for listed AI tools.
• To send periodic newsletter updates about newly added AI tools and platform features (only if you explicitly opted in).

To make Altinode AI load almost instantly and remember your visual preferences, we use standard browser Local Storage and lightweight analytics:

• Theme Preference Remembers whether you prefer Day Mode (Light) or Night Mode (Dark).
• Performance Cache Temporarily caches the AI tool directory in your browser for up to 6 hours so pages, categories, and searches open instantaneously without consuming unnecessary bandwidth.
• Anonymous Traffic Counter & Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics and a random, non-personal browser identifier to understand aggregate visitor counts and popular tool clicks. This anonymous ID is never linked to your personal identity.

Important: Altinode AI is an independent directory of AI software. We do not host, own, or operate the third-party AI tools listed on our platform, nor do we process any payments or subscriptions for them.

When you click "Visit Site" on any tool card, you are redirected to that tool developer's external website (we append a standard referral tag such as ?utm_source=altinodeai so creators know traffic came from our directory). Once you leave Altinode AI, any data you provide—including account sign-ups, prompts, uploaded files, or billing details—is governed strictly by that third-party tool's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before sharing sensitive data.

We never sell your personal information. To run our platform reliably and securely, we rely only on industry-standard cloud infrastructure providers:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore): Used for secure user sign-in, password hashing, password reset emails, and storing saved tool lists.
• Cloudinary: Used to host and deliver user profile avatars and tool logos rapidly across devices. When you replace your profile picture, your old image is queued for permanent deletion from our cloud storage.
• Netlify: Used for global HTTPS web hosting and content delivery.

You have full ownership and control over your personal data on Altinode AI:

• Update Your Profile: You can change your Display Name or upload a new Profile Picture at any time inside your Profile Dashboard.
• Manage Saved Tools: You can add or remove bookmarked tools instantaneously from any tool card or from your Saved Tools popup.
• Account Deletion & Unsubscribe Requests: If you wish to permanently delete your account, remove your email from our newsletter list, or request a copy of your stored data, simply reach out to our team and we will process your request promptly.

Altinode AI does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we immediately delete it from our servers.
